The main problem that I identified is the topic of our application and the gap in the market. There are few to no climate awareness applications currently on the Google Play store that offer a strong insight on the topic, many are essentially a collection of data which many users may not be interested in. Furthermore, the topic that is climate change is an ever emerging concern to the general public which is not discussed about as much it should be and I believe that our application may offer a solution to the gap within the market and also a solution to spreading more awareness on the topic by offering advice, relevant and important information alongside news articles, individual surveys that users can take to get results about their individual carbon footprint, local statistics on pollution, sea and air levels and finally an option to donate to current campaigns if they wish.

In my opinion, I think more light needs to be shed on the topic. The topic is very misinformed at times and leads to fake news and theories that believe it to be non-existent, which is another problem I identified. With the right information, statistics and an element of involvement, a climate awareness application may solve several problems within the market. The market currently has few competitors, which makes the spread of awareness minuscule from a mobile application standpoint.
